Potato fry / aloo fry / batate fry

Ingredients: 1 cup = 250 ml 

  • Potatoes - 2 medium sized
  • Chiroti rava - 1/4 cup
  • Chilly powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 3/4 teaspoon
  • Amchur powder / Huli pudi - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - a pinch
  • Hing - a pinch
  • Oil - for shallow frying 

  • Time : 15 minutes
    Yield : 2

    Method:

    Step 1. Wash and peel outer skin of potatoes. Chop peeled potatoes into (2 mm thickness) pieces. Dip in cold water.

    Step 2.  In a mixing bowl, add chiroti rava, salt, amchur powder, chilly powder, hing, turmeric powder. Mix well.


    Step 3. Dip chopped potatoes in rava mixture.


    Step 4. On hot thava (on MEDIUM flame) put dipped potato pieces one by one. Apply suffecient oil on it and close the lid for two minutes.



    Step 5. Flip sides and apply oil again.


    Step 6. Enjoy with tea!
