Dhideer tambli / bellulli oggarane tambli

Dhideer tambli / bellulli oggarane tambli is a simple havyaka recipe. Whenever you have extra curd, this recipe could be an option. Even when the curd is little sour we can still prepare this recipe as we add garlic and sugar. In about five minutes or so, we can prepare this recipe since there is no grinding step involved.


Ingredients : 1 cup = 250 ml 
  • Sour curd - 1 cup
  • Sugar - 1.5 table spoons (depending upon sourness of curdc 
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garlic - 7 to 8 cloves
  • Green chilly - 1 small
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Oil - 1 teaspoon 

Time : 5 minutes
Servings : 2 to 3


Method :
Step 1. In a vessel, pour one cup of sour curd. Add sugar and salt according to taste, mix well.


Step 2. Add half cup of water and mix well. Consistency should be thicker than butter milk.


Step 3. For seasoning, on LOW flame, fry garlic, green chilly, mustard seeds in oil.


Step 4. When mustard splutters, turn off the stove.


Step 5. Pour it to curd. Mix well.


Step 6. Enjoy with rice.
