Kalasanna

Kalasanna

Kalasanna is very simple and tasty rice item. The preparation of this recipe is similar to curd rice. Here also we use curd and rice and mix it with hand, hence the name kalasanna. Instead you can also use whisker or grinder for mixing cooked rice and curd. I also learnt that in north Karnataka region, generally it is fed to pregnant women by her mothers.

In this recipe, onion and garlic are not used. Still it tastes great. Otherwise it is like curd rice. It is easy to prepare. All you need is cooked rice, curd and some other vegetables. I have not yet posted the curd rice recipe in my blog. I plan to share it in the near future. In case of rice items, I have shared the recipe of fried rice (simple method)bisibele bathpalav etc.
