Let us start with ingredients.
Ingredients: 1 cup = 250 ml
- Broken wheat / godhi kadi - 1 cup
- Ghee - 1 to 1.5 table spoons
- Onion - 1 medium
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon (after grating)
- Tomato - 1 medium
- Carrot - 1
- Beans - 7 to 8
- Green peas - 1/2 cup
- Capsicum - 1 small
- Green chilly - 1 to 2
- Coriander leaves - 2 table spoons
- Water - 2.75 to 3 cups
- Salt - according to taste
- Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Urad dal - 1 teaspoon
- Peanuts - 1 table spoon
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
- Hing - 1/4 teaspoon
- Curry leaves - 1 strand
- Oil /Ghee - 2 teaspoons
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Step 1. Roast broken wheat (1 cup) with ghee (1.5 tbl spoons) for around 10 minutes or till changes its color. Keep aside.
Step 2. Preparing other ingredients: Grate carrot and ginger. Chop onion, beans, tomato, capsicum and green chilly. Peel off green peas.
Step 4. Now on LOW flame, add oil / ghee (2 teaspoons) and saute well till mustard splutters.
Step 5. When mustard splutters, add turmeric powder (1/4 tspoon). Saute well.
Step 6. Add chopped green chilly, onion and ginger. Saute well till raw smell disappears. Then add tomato and saute for a minute.
Step 7. Add green peas and chopped beans, capsicum and carrot.
Step 8. Mix well. Saute for a minute.
Step 9. Now add roasted broken wheat / godhi kadi. Mix well.
Step 10. Add water (~2.75 cups), chopped coriander leaves (2 tbl spoons) and salt (according to taste). Mix well.
Step 11. Pressure cook for 3 whistles.

Tips:
- You can also skip roasting broken wheat. Instead, use 1.25 cups of water for 1 cup of broken wheat.
- Choice of vegetables is left to you
