Rasam powder / Kundapur style rasam powder
Ingredients: 1 cup = 100 ml
  • Coriander seeds - 1/4 cup
  • Cumin seeds - 1 cup
  • Methi seeds/ fenugreek seeds - 1/2 cup 
  • Red chillies - 16-20 byadigi chillies
  • Curry leaves - 4 strands
  • Hing - 1 tspoon
Method:
Step 1. Roast methi seeds (1/2 cup) on LOW flame till it turns to dark brown in color. As shown below in picture. After roasting keep aside for cooling purpose.

Step 2. Roast coriander seeds and cumin seeds together on LOW flame till colour changes and also you can smell its aroma. Keep aside.

Step 3. Roast red chillies and curry leaves together on LOW flame for 2 to 3 minutes till these become crispy. Keep aside.

Step 4. Grind methi seeds, coriander seeds and cumin seeds all together, also add hing(1 tspoon) while grinding, grind it into powder. Then pour to a plate.

Step 4. Now grind roasted red chillies and curry leaves together to fine powder. Pour it to coriander powder mixture. Mix properly.

Step 5. Finally when powder cools, store it in airtight container.
