Colorful fried rice (simple method)

Ingredients: 1 cup = 250 ml
  • Cooked rice - 3 cups
  • Carrot - 1
  • Beans - 10 to 12
  • Sweet corn - 1/2 (if bigger one)
  • Green chilly - 2 or more(as you want)
  • Garlic - 5 to 6 pods / 1 tspoon (grated)
  • Cumin seeds - 1 tspoon
  • Mustard seeds - 1 tspoon
  • Oil - 1 tbl spoon
  • Salt - according to taste
  • Lemon - 1/2
Method:
Step 1. Wash and chop onion, beans, green chillies. Grate carrot, garlic and peel sweet corn. Keep aside.


Step 2. In a thick bottomed kadai, heat oil on low flame. Add cumin seeds(1 tspoon) and mustard seeds.

Step 3. When mustard splutters add grated/chopped garlic(1 tspoon) and saute till its raw smell disappears.


Step 4. Now add onion, saute till it turns into golden color.

Step 5. Add chopped green chilly and beans, sweet corn and saute well for a minute.

Step 6. Now add grated carrot and saute for a minute. Add 1/2 tspoon of salt and mix well. Close lid for 5 minutes.

Step 7. Add cooked and cooled rice(3 cups) and salt (according to taste) to this. Mix carefully.

Step 8. Add few drops of lemon juice(1/2  lemon)  and mix well. Enjoy!
