Seven cup - burfi

Ingredients: 1 cup = 250 ml

  • Besan flour - 1 cup
  • Grated coconut - 1 cup
  • Ghee - 1 cup
  • Milk - 1 cup
  • Sugar - 3 cups
  • Cardamom - 2 to 3

Method:
Step 1. On low flame, in a thick bottomed kadai, add besan flour, grated coconut, ghee, milk and sugar all together. Mix well.



Step 2.  Stir well till sugar completely melts.



Step 3. Saute occasionally till mixture thickens.

Step 4. When mixture starts to thicken then add cardamom powder. Stir continuously till end (till step 8).

Step 5. When mixture starts to separate from the pan, its time to off the stove. Below picture shows you the thickness/consistency (paaka).

Step 6. Grease 1 tspn of ghee to one plate.

Step 7. Pour dough to greased plate. Allow it to little cool then cut with knife.



Step 8. Enjoy!
