Amaranthus(red) leaves hashi / harige soppina hashi
Amaranthus(red) leaves hashi / harige soppina hashi is a Havyaka recipe. Harige soppu is nutritious and it is used to prepare many Havyaka cuisine like gojju, huli etc.

Ingredients: 1 cup = 100 ml

  • Amaranthus leaves(red) - 2 cups (after chopping)
  • Grated coconut - 1/2 cup
  • Green chilly - 1/2
  • Curd - 2 tbl spoons
  • Salt
For seasoning:

  • Mustard seeds - 1 spoon
  • Red chilly - 1
  • Urad dal - 1 tspoon
  • Oil - 1 tspoon

Method:
Step 1. Wash amaranthus leaves well. Chop roughly.


Step 2. Cook it by adding salt and little quantity of water in a vessel after closing lid. After cooking allow it to cool. 

Step 3. Grind grated coconut and red chilly with cooked water. Make it a fine paste.

Step 4. Add ground paste and curd to cooked and cooled amarantus, mix well. 


Step 5. Season it with mustard seeds, urad dal and red chilly in oil.

Step 6. Enjoy!

Tip:
Additionally you can add onion.
