Mango rasayana / maavinahannina rasayana
Mango rasayana / maavinahannina rasayana is a havyaka recipe for breakfast (for eating with dosa/puri/chapati). It is also eaten as payasa during lunch and dinner.

It can be best enjoyed with tellevu. The muskmelon kaayalurasayana is similar to this recipe.

Ingredients: 1 cup = 100 ml 

  • Ripened mangoes - 2
  • Grated coconut - 1/4 cup
  • Jaggery/brown sugar - 3 tbl spoons (depending on taste of mangoes)
  • Milk powder - 1 tbl spoon(optional)
  • Cardamoms - 2 to 3
  • Salt - a pinch for taste

Method:
Step 1. Wash ripened mangoes. Peel outer skin and extract juice.

Step 2.  Grind grated coconut along with few cardamoms and water.

Step 3. Pour ground coconut + cardmom paste to extracted mango juice.

Step 4. Now add jaggery/ brown sugar, milk powder and a pinch of salt. Mix well.

Tips:
Mango rasayana with tellevu/chapati/puri are tasty combinations.
