Lemongrass tambli / kudu tambli / majjige hullina tambli

This recipe is very good for summer season and I recommend you to try it. It is simple also.

Ingredients: 1 cup = 100 ml

  • Lemon grass - 2 long grass blades
  • Ginger - 3 to 4 small pieces
  • Green chilly - 1/4 (small piece)
  • Curd - 1 cup (if you have buttermilk then you can add directly in step)

Chopped lemon grass, ginger and green chilly
Method:
Step 1: Chop lemon grass and ginger (as shown in above pic). Grind along with a piece of green chilly in water.



 Step 2: Drain it.

Step 3: Keep the lemon grass+ginger+green chilly solution aside.
After draining. Keep it aside
 Step 4: Grind curd to turn it into buttermilk. If you have buttermilk then you can skip this step.


 Step 5: Pour buttermilk into lemon grass+ginger+green chilly solution

 Step 6: Add salt and mix well.
And add salt
 Step 7: Enjoy!

Tips:

  • You can add 1 teaspoon of grated coconut (in step 1) also.
  • You can add lemon juice(1/2 teaspoon) if curd/buttermilk is not sufficiently sour enough.
