Banana idli / baalehannina idli
Ingredients: 1 cup = 250 ml

  • Banana - 4 (robusta\pachbalehannu)
  • Rava - 1 cup (idli sooji\chiroti sooji)
  • Jaggery/brown sugar/sugar - 3/4 cup
  • Grated coconut - 1\4 cup
  • Cardamom - 3 to 4
  • Ghee - for greasing idli plates
  • Salt



Method:


Step 1. In a vessel, mash bananas well.

 Step 2. Add brown sugar/jaggery/sugar, grated coconut, idli sooji, cardamom powder, salt to mashed banana and mix well.


Step 3. Don't add water, consistency of the batter should be thicker than normal idli batter.

Step 4. Grease idli plates with ghee.

Step 5. Fill batter in idli plates.

Step 6. Cook for 15 minutes.
