Pineapple (ananas) Kayi Rasa
Pineapple (ananas) Kayi Rasa is a traditional Havyaka recipe. It is like huli and also like gojju.

Ingredients: 1 cup = 250 ml


  • Pineapple- 1/2 fruit
  • Jaggery - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt

For masala: 

  • Chana dal - 2 tspoons
  • Urad dal - 1 tspoon
  • Tur dal - 1 tspoon
  • Hing - 1 tspoon
  • Cloves - 2
  • Curry leaves - few
  • Mustard seeds - 1 tspoon
  • Coriander seeds - 2 tspoons
  • Red chillies - 3
  • And grated coconut - 1/2 cup



Method:

I have explained all the steps in this 1:45 minutes video. To save time, you can cook pineapple first, meanwhile you can prepare masala and grind it.




I think I missed to mention curry leaves in the video at 0.22 seconds. Please add curry leaves too as shown in the video.

You can use kayi rasa for about 3-4 days if you keep on reboiling it. Becomes tastier also :)
