Bisibele bath powder



Ingredients: 1 cup = 100 ml

  • Coriander seeds - 1 cup
  • Methi seeds - 1/4 cup
  • Cinnamon - 4 pieces (1 inch each)
  • Cloves - 5
  • Black pepper - 8 to 10
  • Kadle Bele (Chana dal) - 3/4 cup
  • Urad dal - 3/4 cup
  • Curry leaves - 2 to 3 strands
  • Red Byadgi chillies - about 25 (instead if you want to use chilli powder then 1 cup)

Quantity of bisibele bath powder - 3 cups 
Time: 30 minutes

Method: All items need to be dry roasted on LOW FLAME only.


Step 1. On LOW flame, dry roast urad dal,  kadle bele and methi seeds till colour changes or till you get aroma.


Step 2. On LOW flame, dry roast coriander seeds, cinnamon, cloves and black peppers, till you get aroma.


Step 3. On LOW flame, dry roast red byadagi chillies and curry leaves till chillies turn to crispy (do not over roast chillies till they turn to black).


Step 4. Allow all roasted ingredients to cool for few minutes.


Step 5.  Grind cooled spices to fine powder (use dry mixy jar).



Store ground bisibele bath powder in a dry airtight container, once the powder completely cools.
