Ingredients : 1 cup = 250 ml
- Mango pulp - 2 cups
- Apple - 1 medium sized
- Sugar - 2 cups (depending upon sweetness of mangoes)
- Ghee - 1 table spoon
- Salt - a pinch
- Cardamom - 1 to 2
Method :
Step 1. Peel off ripened mangoes and extract mango juice.
Step 2. Grind to fine paste without adding any water.
Step 3. Peel and grate apple using large holed grater.
Step 4. In a thick bottomed kadai, pour ground mango paste, grated apple, sugar, a pinch of salt and ghee.
Step 5. On LOW flame, mix all ingredients and stir well.
Step 6. Stir occasionally till mixture thickens.
Step 7. Add cardamom powder and mix well. Stir continuously to avoid mixture sticks to bottom.
Step 8. When mixture gets two string consistency, then turn off the stove (I have taken half an hour to get jam consistency).
Step 10. Enjoy !
