Neerdose is a nice Havyaka recipe very popular in Mangalore region.

There are two methods of preparing neerdose. One is normal method and the other is instant method. And off-course normal method neerdosa is tastier. Normal method is similar to kabbina haalina dose.

First Method:


  • Dosa rice - 2 cups
  • Methi seeds - 1/4 tspoon
  • Grated coconut (optional, but recommended :))- 1/2 cup
  • Salt - according to tatse


Step 1. Soak rice along with methi seeds for 5-6 hours.

Step 2. Grind soaked rice with grated coconut.

Step 3. Add sufficient water. It should be watery (its name also suggests the same). Add salt.

Step 4. Serve with chutney.

Second Method (Instant Neerdosa):

Ingredients: 1 cup = 250 ml
  • Rice flour - 2 cups.
  • Water - 4 cups.

Preparation time- 15 minutes.
Servings - 3


Step 1: Add water to rice flour and stir continuously. Add salt and mix well.

Step 2. Enjoy it with chutney.
